Lima: Food glorious food
Lima, home of our Academic Coordinator Tania, has in recent years cemented its position as the gastronomic capital of the Americas. With 3 restaurants on the current 50 World’s Best Restaurants list, it’s definitely got us salivating!
If you haven’t already experienced the exotic flavours and culinary creativity of Lima, be sure to check out Central, Maido or Astrid y Gaston next time you’re visiting. Tip: Compared to New York City prices, Peruvian prices are a steal.
And if high-brow restaurants aren’t your thing, then discover some more local bites in the ocean-side districts of Mira Flores or Barranco. Experience the taste sensation that is Chifa or Peruvian Chinese, or ceviche, the national plate. And you can’t go past our favourite dishes lomo saltado and aji de gallina.
We could go on and on, but do yourselves a favour and eat your way around Lima! Your taste buds will thank you!*
*Just in case you can’t jump on the next plane outta here #yolo, we’ve got you covered with some DIY lomo saltado and aji de gallina to enjoy!
